چکیده
This paper presents the numerical damage analysis of concrete structures using higher-order beam theories based on Carrera Unified Formulation (CUF). The constitutive relation is modeled continuum mechanics a modified Mazars model, in which both tensile and compressive softening behaviors are regularized with classical fracture energy methodology. An expression proposed to estimate characteristic length theories, prevent mesh dependency. Both laws calculations obtained according Model Code 2010. To assess efficiency three benchmark quasi-static experiments taken for validation. From comparison between experimental results, CUF model can present 3D accuracy low computational costs reduce

Fracture Behavior of Multidirectional DCB Specimen: Higher-Order Beam Theories
Mathematical models, for the stress analysis of symmetric multidirectional double cantilever beam DCB specimen using classical beam theory, first and higher-order shear deformation beam theories, have been developed to determine the Mode I strain energy release rate SERR for symmetric multidirectional composites. The SERR has been calculated using the compliance approach. In the present study, ...
متن کاملVibration Analysis of FG Micro-Beam Based on the Third Order Shear Deformation and Modified Couple Stress Theories
In this paper, free vibration analysis and forced vibration analysis of FG doubly clamped micro-beams is studied based on the third order shear deformation and modified couple stress theories. The size dependent dynamic equilibrium equations and both the classical and non-classical boundary conditions are derived using a variational approach. It is assumed that all properties of the FG micro-be...
متن کاملExperimental Analysis of Fracture and Damage Mechanics of Pre-Stressed Concrete Sleepers B70: Part B- Analysis
Initial cracks occur in high strength concrete sleepers for various reasons, such as shrinkage and wrong curing and long lifetime of over 50 years of sleepers. These cracks may lead to complete failure of the structure. In order to more accurately design the sleepers, fracture mechanics (not strength of materials) should be incorporated. In order to achieve this purpose, it is important to fore...
متن کاملCracks Analysis in Zavin Concrete Dam Using Fracture Mechanics Approach
Most of the existing concrete dams are subjected to cracking. These cracks are caused by various factors such as construction practices, curing, loads and volume change of mass concrete which reduce the efficiency, failure or instability of concrete dams. Using fracture mechanics as a new method to estimate stability and durability of concrete dams is recommended in scientific publications in w...
متن کاملBending and Free Vibration Analysis of Functionally Graded Plates via Optimized Non-polynomial Higher Order Theories
Optimization concept in the context of shear deformation theories was born for the development of accurate models to study the bending problem of structures. The present study seeks to extend such an approach to the dynamic analysis of plates. A compact and unified formulation with non-polynomial shear strain shape functions (SSSFs) is employed to develop a static and free vibration analysis of...
